Press Release

Ribe, May 5, 2017: On May 20-22, 2017 the company’s expert on disease and hygiene, Dr Pia Nielsen will join the China Hospital and Construction Conference (CHCC) and speak on the topic of “Intelligent Hospital Design to Improve Health Outcomes – The Case of Healthcare Associated Infection Reduction

Dr. Nielsen’s research focus includes bacterial growth isolation, cloning and analyses of stress-induced gene expressions (e.g. disinfectants and antibiotics). Based on this research, Hudevad Care’s objective at the conference is to share the latest trends and developments from Scandinavia in the area of utilizing design to achieve a better, safer and more hygienic hospital environment.

Hudevad Care’s experience in using design to prevent and reduce the occurrence of healthcare associated infections (HAIs) comes from being part of a company with a long history of designing and manufacturing heating solutions for the public and private sector. Denmark’s large current investments in hospitals and healthcare bring forward new and innovative solutions, and the Danish company’s sole focus has been to optimize solutions for this sector. As a result, Hudevad Care has supplied its latest products to Denmark’s largest hospital “Rigshospitalet” in Copenhagen and the Panum Institute, a large laboratory which is a part of Copenhagen University, amongst others.

CHCC is the primary field of academic exchange and professional exhibition relating to hospital architecture in China. Following the “Healthy China” strategy of the 13th 5-year plan, China’s hospital construction industry is about to usher in rapid development and reform, with public health and disease control at the center.  Smart and green hospital design, medical technology and Internet of Things are some of the key themes that will be discussed by experts in the professional forums.

The strong ties between China and Denmark especially in the healthcare sector , as well as the good work done by the Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing and the event organizers led to the invitation for Hudevad Care to speak at the conference, and the company is very grateful for the opportunity.
